The external clock frequency times the PLL multiplier may exceed the value range of 32-bit unsigned integers. Instead perform the same calculation y using two divisions. The result has some potential to be different, but that's ok: this number is used to limit the range of pre-PLL divisors to find optimal values. So the effect of the rare case of a different result here would mean an invalid pre-PLL divisor is tried. That will be found out a little later in any case. Also guard against dividing by zero if the external clock frequency is higher than the maximum OP PLL output clock --- a rather improbable case. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
