The SEV-SNP specification provides the guest a mechanism to communicate with the PSP without risk from a malicious hypervisor who wishes to read, alter, drop or replay the messages sent. The driver uses snp_issue_guest_request() to issue GHCB SNP_GUEST_REQUEST or SNP_EXT_GUEST_REQUEST NAE events to submit the request to PSP. The PSP requires that all communication should be encrypted using key specified through a struct snp_guest_platform_data descriptor. Userspace can use SNP_GET_REPORT ioctl() to query the guest attestation report. See SEV-SNP spec section Guest Messages for more details. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
