Commitc9c2877d08("parisc: Add Page Deallocation Table (PDT) support") introduced the pdc_pat_mem_read_pd_pdt() firmware helper function, which crashed the system because it trashed the stack if the pdc_pat_mem_read_pd_retinfo struct was located on the stack (and which is in size less than the required 32 64-bit values). Fix it by using the pdc_result struct instead when calling firmware and copy the return values back into the result struct when finished sucessfully. While debugging this code I noticed that the pdc_type wasn't set correctly either, so let's fix that too. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
