In b43_request_firmware(), when ieee80211_register_hw() fails, b43_one_core_detach() is called. In b43_bcma_remove() and b43_ssb_remove(), b43_one_core_detach() is called again. In this case, null-pointer dereferences and double-free problems can occur when the driver is removed. To fix this bug, the call to b43_one_core_detach() in b43_request_firmware() is deleted. This bug is found by a runtime fuzzing tool named FIZZER written by us. Signed-off-by: Jia-Ju Bai <baijiaju1990@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@codeaurora.org>
Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
