As talked about in commit d2aacaf073 ("drm/panel: Check for already
prepared/enabled in drm_panel"), we want to remove needless code from
panel drivers that was storing and double-checking the
prepared/enabled state. Even if someone was relying on the
double-check before, that double-check is now in the core and not
needed in individual drivers.

Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
