If one or more of the 16 channels are enabled and the driver is not aware of that, unexpected things happen because different channels are used than intended. To prevent that, all channels should be disabled at probe time. In Commit4be339af33("iio: adc: ad7124: Disable all channels at probe time") I intended do that, however only the channels that are potentially used by the driver and not all channels are disabled since then. So disable all 16 channels and not only the used ones. Also fix the same issue in the .disable_all() callback. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
