iwl_mvm_get_sync_time() reads the gp2 from the device and then reads the system clock. Since the two reads are not done atomically, unexpected delays may happen between the two reads (e.g. context switch) which make it inaccurate. In order to improve the accuracy of the cross timestamp, call iwl_mvm_get_sync_time() multiple times in a loop and take the result in which the difference between the two clock is the smallest. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
