Months ago, we have added code to allow direct access to MSR_IA32_SPEC_CTRL to the guest, which makes STIBP available to guests. This was implemented by commitsd28b387fb7("KVM/VMX: Allow direct access to MSR_IA32_SPEC_CTRL") andb2ac58f905("KVM/SVM: Allow direct access to MSR_IA32_SPEC_CTRL"). However, we never updated GET_SUPPORTED_CPUID to let userspace know that STIBP can be enabled in CPUID. Fix that by updating kvm_cpuid_8000_0008_ebx_x86_features and kvm_cpuid_7_0_edx_x86_features. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
