There's no need for error handling, the debugfs core is smart enough to deal with IS_ERR() internally. This will also keep us from creating the debugfs files if the device directory doesn't exist. Currently (because irq_ptr->debugfs_dev gets set to NULL on error) the files would be placed into the debugfs root - without any association to their parent device. On teardown, use the debugfs_remove_recursive() helper to avoid keeping track of each created file/directory. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
