When nvme_cancel_tagset traverses all tagsets and executes nvme_cancel_request, this request may be executing blk_mq_free_request that is called by nvme_rdma_complete_timed_out/nvme_tcp_complete_timed_out. When blk_mq_free_request executes to WRITE_ONCE(rq->state, MQ_RQ_IDLE) and __blk_mq_free_request(rq), it will cause double blk_mq_complete_request for this request, and it will cause a null pointer error in the second execution of this function because rq->mq_hctx has set to NULL in first execution. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
