Commitc601171d7a("net/smc: provide smc mode in smc_diag.c") changed the name of diag_fallback field of struct smc_diag_msg structure to diag_mode. However, this structure is a part of UAPI, and this change breaks user space applications that use it ([1], for example). Since the new name is more suitable, convert the field to a union that provides access to the data via both the new and the old name. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
