Since9ffa6c7512("perf machine thread: Remove exited threads by default") perf cleans exited threads up, but as said, sometimes they are necessary to be kept. The mentioned commit does not cover all the cases, we also need the information to construct the summary table in perf-trace. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
