A struct mii_bus doesn't need a parent, so we can simplify the code and remove using a faux device. Only difference is the following in sysfs under /sys/class/mdio_bus: old: fixed-0 -> '../../devices/faux/Fixed MDIO bus/mdio_bus/fixed-0' new: fixed-0 -> ../../devices/virtual/mdio_bus/fixed-0 Signed-off-by: Heiner Kallweit <hkallweit1@gmail.com> Link: https://patch.msgid.link/e9426bb9-f228-4b99-bc09-a80a958b5a93@gmail.com Signed-off-by: Jakub Kicinski <kuba@kernel.org>
Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
