This reverts commit9db9c0cf58. Setting mode_config.allow_fb_modifiers manually is completely unnecessary. It is set automatically by drm_universal_plane_init() based on the fact if modifier list is provided or not. Even more, it breaks DE2 and DE3 as they don't support any modifiers beside linear. Modifiers aware applications can be confused by provided empty modifier list - at least linear modifier should be included, but it's not for DE2 and DE3. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
