A timing hazard exists when an early fork/exec thread begins exiting and sets its mm pointer to NULL while a separate core tries to update the section information. This commit ensures that the mm pointer is not NULL before setting its section parameters. The arguments provided by commit11ce4b33ae("ARM: 8672/1: mm: remove tasklist locking from update_sections_early()") are equally valid for not requiring grabbing the task_lock around this check. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
