Whilee3a3c3a205("UIO: fix uio_pdrv_genirq with device tree but no interrupt") added support for using uio_pdrv_genirq for devices without interrupt for device tree platforms, the removal of uio_pdrv in26dac3c49d("uio: Remove uio_pdrv and use uio_pdrv_genirq instead") broke the support for non device tree platforms. This change fixes this, so that uio_pdrv_genirq can be used without interrupt on all platforms. This still leaves the support that uio_pdrv had for custom interrupt handler lacking, as uio_pdrv_genirq does not handle it (yet). Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
