Testcase for reserved bits in Monitor Mode Control Register A (MMCRA) Random Sampling Mode (SM) value. As per Instruction Set Architecture (ISA), the values 0x5, 0x9, 0xD, 0x19, 0x1D, 0x1A, 0x1E are reserved for sampling mode field. Test that having these reserved bit values should cause event_open to fail. Input event code in testcases uses these sampling bits along with 401e0 (PM_MRK_INST_CMPL). Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
