Help the compiler to avoid reevaluating the thread flags for each checked bit by reordering the bit checks and providing an explicit xor for evaluation. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``.
