The commit19b07cb4a1("i2c: i801: Register optional lis3lv02d I2C device on Dell machines") introduced a new check in order to enumerate some slave devices on Dell machines. Though, it brings a regression on machines where DMI vendor is not set. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
