The 6390 family has 8 SERDES lanes. What ports use these lanes depends on how ports 9 and 10 are configured. If 9 and 10 does not make use of a line, one of the lower ports can use it. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.

Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
