Since commitac10be5cdb("arm64: Use common of_kexec_alloc_and_setup_fdt()"), smatch reports the following warning: arch/arm64/kernel/machine_kexec_file.c:152 load_other_segments() warn: missing error code 'ret' Return code is not set to an error code in load_other_segments() when of_kexec_alloc_and_setup_fdt() call returns a NULL dtb. This results in status success (return code set to 0) being returned from load_other_segments(). Set return code to -EINVAL if of_kexec_alloc_and_setup_fdt() returns NULL dtb. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
