This patch is to add driver for the DPAA2 1588 timer module (RTC) which interfaces to up to an unlimited number of 10/100/1000 or 10G ethernet MACs, providing current time, alarm, and fiper support. The 1588 IP control block includes these distinctive features. - External GPIO trigger for time-stamping - 2 Time-stamp alarms - 3 FIPER pulse generators - Phase adjusted output timer clock Currently this driver only supports basic functions like settime/gettime/adjtime/adjfreq. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
