The mddev_lock should be held during raid5_remove_disk() which is when the rdev/replacement pointers are modified. So any access to these pointers marked __rcu should be safe whenever the mddev_lock is held. There are numerous such access that currently produce sparse warnings. Add a helper function, rdev_mdlock_deref() that wraps rcu_dereference_protected() in all these instances. This annotation fixes a number of sparse warnings. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
