In the buffered write path, we have to check for short writes that write to the full page, where the page wasn't UpToDate; when this happens, the page is partly garbage, so we have to zero it out and revert that part of the write. This check was wrong - we reverted total from copied, but didn't revert the iov_iter, probably also leading to corrupted writes. ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
