MEI GSC interrupt comes from i915. It has top half and bottom half. Top half is called from i915 interrupt handler. It should be in irq disabled context. With RT kernel, by default i915 IRQ handler is in threaded IRQ. MEI GSC top half might be in threaded IRQ context. generic_handle_irq_safe API could be called from either IRQ or process context, it disables local IRQ then calls MEI GSC interrupt top half. This change fixes A380/A770 GPU boot hang issue with RT kernel. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
