Arm's Memory Tagging Extension (MTE) adds some metadata (tags) to every physical page, when swapping pages out to disk it is necessary to save these tags, and later restore them when reading the pages back. Add some hooks along with dummy implementations to enable the arch code to handle this. Three new hooks are added to the swap code: * arch_prepare_to_swap() and * arch_swap_invalidate_page() / arch_swap_invalidate_area(). Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
