Currently the I/O submitters have to split bios according to the chunk stripe boundaries. This leads to extra lookups in the extent trees and a lot of boilerplate code. To drop this requirement, split the bio when __btrfs_map_block returns a mapping that is smaller than the requested size and keep a count of pending bios in the original btrfs_bio so that the upper level completion is only invoked when all clones have completed. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
