Commit861e808602("e1000e: move force SMBUS from enable ulp function to avoid PHY loss issue") resolved a PHY access loss during suspend on Meteor Lake consumer platforms, but it affected corporate systems incorrectly. A better fix, working for both consumer and corporate systems, was proposed in commitbfd546a552("e1000e: move force SMBUS near the end of enable_ulp function"). However, it introduced a regression on older devices, such as [8086:15B8], [8086:15F9], [8086:15BE]. This patch aims to fix the secondary regression, by limiting the scope of the changes to Meteor Lake platforms only. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
