Since commitcc62c74749("media: allegro: add missed checks in allegro_open()") the allegro device does provide v4l2 controls to user space anymore. The reason is that v4l2_fh_init() initializes fh->ctrl_handler to vdev->ctrl_handler, which invalidates the previous driver override of the ctrl_handler. Therefore, v4l2_fh_init() must be called before the driver overrides the fh->ctrl_handler with its own handler. Move the initialization of the fh back to the top, as the initialization does not does not need to be reverted on errors, but it is enough to free the channel. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
