The IR protocol can now only be set via the rc protocols sysfs file rather than via module parameters or a custom procfs file. So, it is no longer necessary to periodically check for protocol changes. The IR_RCMM protocol does not decode the Philips RC-MM protocol (12, 24 or 32 bit variants) or any protocol rc-core can encode, so this is marked RC_PROTO_UNKNOWN. Tested on Technotrend/Hauppauge WinTV Nexus-S rev2.1, which comes with a small black hauppauge remote. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
