Commit6f486556ab("spi: stm32: renaming of spi_master into spi_controller") included an accidential reverted of a change added in commit1e49291125("spi: stm32: split large transfers based on word size instead of bytes"). This breaks large SPI transfers with word sizes > 8 bits, which are e.g. common when driving MIPI DBI displays. Fix this by using `spi_split_transfers_maxwords()` instead of `spi_split_transfers_maxsize()`. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
