The currently used function pci_request_regions() is one of the problematic "hybrid devres" PCI functions, which are sometimes managed through devres, and sometimes not (depending on whether pci_enable_device() or pcim_enable_device() has been called before). The PCI subsystem wants to remove this behavior and, therefore, needs to port all users to functions that don't have this problem. Replace pci_request_regions() with pcim_request_all_regions(). Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
