Using PCI multifunctions in S390 is a new feature we may want to ignore to continue provide the same topology as in the past to userland even if the configuration supports exposing the topology of a multi-Function device. A new boolean parameters allows to overwrite the kernel pci configuration: - pci=norid when on, disallow the use a new firmware field, RID, which provides the PCI <bus>:<device>.<function> part of the PCI address. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
