The pages for the KMSAN metadata associated with most kernel mappings are taken from memblock by the common code. However, vmalloc and module metadata needs to be defined by the architectures. Be a little bit more careful than x86: allocate exactly MODULES_LEN for the module shadow and origins, and then take 2/3 of vmalloc for the vmalloc shadow and origins. This ensures that users passing small vmalloc= values on the command line do not cause module metadata collisions. be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
