The RX51/Nokia n900 uses the legacy GPIO header to convert a GPIO back to the global GPIO numberspace and then the jack using it in the snd_soc_jack_add_gpios() call immediately looks up the corresponding descriptor again. The snd_soc_jack_add_gpios() handles GPIOs passed with devices just fine: pass in the device instead, and rename the GPIO to match the property in the device tree, and it should work all the same but without all the trouble. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
