When we set the BASET registers of i225 with a base_time in the future, i225 will "hold" all packets until that base_time is reached, causing a lot of TX Hangs. As this behaviour seems contrary to the expectations of the IEEE 802.1Q standard (section 8.6.9, especially 8.6.9.4.5), let's start by rejecting these types of schedules. If this is too limiting, we can for example, setup a timer to configure the BASET registers closer to the start time, only blocking the packets for a "short" while. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
