Check if in fail_io mode at start of dm_pool_metadata_set_needs_check(). Otherwise dm_pool_metadata_set_needs_check()'s superblock_lock() can crash in dm_bm_write_lock() while accessing the block manager object that was previously destroyed as part of a failed dm_pool_abort_metadata() that ultimately set fail_io to begin with. Also, update DMERR() message to more accurately describe superblock_lock() failure. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
