The get_mac_address() function is normally inline, but when it is not, we get a warning that this configuration is broken: WARNING: vmlinux.o(.text+0x4aff00): Section mismatch in reference from the function w90p910_ether_setup() to the function .init.text:get_mac_address() The function w90p910_ether_setup() references the function __init get_mac_address(). This is often because w90p910_ether_setup lacks a __init Remove the __init to make it always do the right thing. Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: David S. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
