A recent commit,9803387c55("ext4: validate the debug_want_extra_isize mount option at parse time"), moved mount-time checks around. One of those changes moved the inode size check before the blocksize variable was set to the blocksize of the file system. After9803387c55was set to the minimum allowable blocksize, which in practice on most systems would be 1024 bytes. ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:

There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
