Clang warns when it sees a logical not on the left side of a conditional statement because it thinks the logical not should be applied to the whole statement, not just the left side: drivers/scsi/qla2xxx/qla_nx.c:3703:7: warning: logical not is only applied to the left hand side of this comparison [-Wlogical-not-parentheses] This particular instance was already fixed by commit0bfe7d3cae("scsi: qla2xxx: Simplify conditional check") upstream but it was reintroduced by commit3695310e37("scsi: qla2xxx: Update flash read/write routine") in the 5.2/scsi-queue. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
