On NXP's i.MX SoCs with system controller inside, CPU frequency scaling can ONLY be done by system controller firmware, and it can ONLY be requested from secure mode, so Linux kernel has to call ARM SMC to trap to ARM-Trusted-Firmware to request system controller firmware to do CPU frequency scaling. This patch adds i.MX system controller CPU frequency scaling support, it reuses cpufreq-dt driver and implement the CPU frequency scaling inside SCU clock driver. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
