On async reads, page data is allocated before sending. When the response is received but it has no data to fill (e.g. STATUS_END_OF_FILE), __calc_signature() will still include the pages in its computation, leading to an invalid signature check. This patch fixes this by not setting the async read smb_rqst page data (zeroed by default) if its got_bytes is 0. This can be reproduced/verified with xfstests generic/465. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
