The issue fixed for bonding in commitc2edacf80e("bonding / ipv6: no addrconf for slaves separately from master") also exists in team driver. However, we can't just disable ipv6 addrconf for team ports, as 'teamd' will need it when nsns_ping watch is used in the user space. Instead of preventing ipv6 addrconf, this patch only prevents RS packets for team ports, as it did in commitb52e1cce31("ipv6: Don't send rs packets to the interface of ARPHRD_TUNNEL"). Note that we do not prevent DAD packets, to avoid the changes getting intricate / hacky. Also, usually sysctl dad_transmits is set to 1 and only 1 DAD packet will be sent, and by now no libteam user complains about DAD packets on team ports, unlike RS packets. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
