Linus Torvalds 293837b9ac Revert "i915: fix remap_io_sg to verify the pgprot"
This reverts commit b12d691ea5.

It turns out this is not ready for primetime yet. The intentions are
good, but using remap_pfn_range() requires that there is nothing already
mapped in the area, and the i915 code seems to very much intentionally
remap the same area multiple times.

That will then just trigger the

                BUG_ON(!pte_none(*pte));

in mm/memory.c: remap_pte_range().

There are also reports of mapping type inconsistencies, resulting in
warnings and in screen corruption.

Linux kernel
============

There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.

In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:

    https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/

There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.

Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
