Cc: Alexander Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk> Cc: Christian Brauner <brauner@kernel.org> Cc: Jan Kara <jack@suse.cz> Cc: linux-fsdevel@vger.kernel.org The comment on EXPORT_SYMBOL(close_fd) was added in commit2ca2a09d62("fs: add ksys_close() wrapper; remove in-kernel calls to sys_close()"), before commit8760c909f5("file: Rename __close_fd to close_fd and remove the files parameter") gave the function its current name, however commit1572bfdf21("file: Replace ksys_close with close_fd") removes the referenced caller entirely, obsoleting this comment. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
