The bpf_prog_pack allocator currently uses module_alloc() and module_memfree() to allocate and free memory. This is not portable because different architectures use different methods for allocating memory for BPF programs. Like ARM64 and riscv use vmalloc()/vfree(). Use bpf_jit_alloc_exec() and bpf_jit_free_exec() for memory management in bpf_prog_pack allocator. Other architectures can override these with their implementation and will be able to use bpf_prog_pack directly. On architectures that don't override bpf_jit_alloc/free_exec() this is basically a NOP. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
