Since commit0166dc11be("of: make CONFIG_OF user selectable"), it is possible to test-build any driver which depends on OF on any architecture by explicitly selecting OF. Therefore depending on COMPILE_TEST as an alternative is no longer needed. To avoid reintroducing the randconfig bug originally fixed by commit876271118a("drm/display: Fix build error without CONFIG_OF"), DRM_MSM which selects DRM_DISPLAY_DP_HELPER must explicitly depend on OF. This is consistent with what all other DRM drivers are doing. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
