SATA devices are lost when FLR is performed while the controller and disks are in suspended state. This is because the libata layer is called to initialize the SATA device during controller resume. If FLR is executed at this time, the IDENTIFY command fails. As a result, the revalidate fails, and the SATA device is disabled by the libata layer. Wait until error handling completes. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
