For problem determination we need to see that we were in scsi_eh as well as whether and why we were successful or not. The following commits introduced new early returns without adding a trace record: v2.6.35 commita1dbfddd02("[SCSI] zfcp: Pass return code from fc_block_scsi_eh to scsi eh") on fc_block_scsi_eh() returning != 0 which is FAST_IO_FAIL, v2.6.30 commit63caf367e1("[SCSI] zfcp: Improve reliability of SCSI eh handlers in zfcp") on not having gotten an FSF request after the maximum number of retry attempts and thus could not issue a TMF and has to return FAILED. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
