This is a re-do of commite0e0747de0("scsi: mpt3sas: Fix return value check of dma_get_required_mask()"), which I ended up undoing in a mis-merge in commit62e6e5940c("Merge tag 'scsi-misc' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jejb/scsi"). The original commit message was scsi: mpt3sas: Fix return value check of dma_get_required_mask() Fix the incorrect return value check of dma_get_required_mask(). Due to this incorrect check, the driver was always setting the DMA mask to 63 bit. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
